Our physicians are kind, caring and thorough. Our office staff is well-educated and oriented to customer service. Patient satisfaction surveys are handed out monthly so that we can hear from you and be aware of any issues in need of attention or refinement. Should you need to have an issue resolved immediately, please ask to speak to our Practice Administrator.
Physician coverage is available at all times for our patients. One or more physician is always available for hospital coverage and after hour calls. We ask that all non-urgent matters be handled during normal business hours. In particular, we expect that prescription refills be requested during office hours.
For more than 20 years, we have served Georgetown University Medical Center and Sibley Memorial Hospital. We also provide services at Suburban Hospital.

Our physicians and nurses always endeavor to see patients on time. If you are new to our practice, we suggest that you arrive approximately fifteen minutes early to complete all necessary paperwork. Patients in need of immediate attention are worked into the schedule. This can delay other appointments at times. If circumstances permit, we will alert you to a delay in our schedule. However, if your schedule is tight, you may choose to call before your appointment with us to learn if the physician is on time. (Office Contact Information)
To request refills for your prescriptions, we ask that you call our office number during business hours. You will be transferred to the prescription refill line where your message can be left. Refills will be called or faxed to your pharmacy within 24 hours. This process gives us time to review the medications you are taking.
If your insurance carrier requires you to have a referral before being seen by one of our physicians, we must have this in hand prior to your appointment. Not having a necessary referral can greatly increase your financial responsibility for the appointment and any testing that is done.
We recommend that you contact the benefits coordinator of your health plan to verify your requirements for a referral to see one of our physicians.
We are prohibited by law to pre-date a referral. If you need a referral from one of our physicians, you will need to obtain it before the date of the appointment for which the referral is needed.
Beginning March 1, 2009, Labcorp and Quest Diagnostics will be drawing labs for patients of Drs. Kane and Davis Associates, P.L.L.C. One of our nurses will provide you with the proper requisition and list of area draw stations that are accepted by your insurance provider. However, if you prefer to have your labs drawn in our office, there will be a $20 non-reimbursable administrative fee.
Notification of most laboratory studies will he accomplished by mail. We will call patients directly when laboratory results require immediate attention.
Each insurer has different requirements regarding which provider can offer radiology services. It is important for you to check with your plan to learn which radiology site you can use.
Before your first appointment at our office and before yearly examinations, we will need you to complete forms so that we have the most updated information about your health history. At times forms seem lengthy and time-consuming, however, please know that writing this current information helps our physicians to provide the best care possible for you.

Over the counter medications can interfere with or increase the effects of prescription medications. Our physicians ask that you complete the form listing all medications you currently are taking. If you come to our office frequently, this form may seem redundant. But please know, our only objective is to provide you with the highest and most complete level of medical care.
